One of the most unique electronic music producers from SoundCloud and Bandcamp realm is definitely Sprælle. This French producer (Nathan Germain) who travels between Paris, Canada and the United States has released his brilliant and style-defining debut EP CRUSH UP in 2020 [check out our first article]. Then, two singles „Ropes To Eternity Lead Nowhere“ and „e-papillon“ followed. After 2 years he’s back with another EP with new label Gone Baby and we have to show it to you.
Recorded earlier this year between Montreal, New York, Paris, and Texas, the release reflects the inevitable changes of pace enforced by said places. Entre Terres evokes worlds clashing into a theatrical sound collage: nostalgic melodies from warm flatlands, cutting-edge rhythms from concrete jungles, and spiritual voices from disenchanted modern societies.
The song „La Nuit en Spirale“ which we are premiering now is a dreamy ambient composition with a colorful sound pallete. It reminds me of musique concrète and we can definitely hear some of the author’s own field recordings. Its like falling down the spiral with the white rabbit in Alice in Wonderland.
Half remembered, half dreamt.
