Albert Hertz, named by the New York-based platform Nina Protocol as a “longtime Copenhagen scene staple”, is no newcomer to the musical landscape, even though he just started releasing music under his given name back in February. The Danish artist, songwriter and producer began making music in the early 2010s in the noise-rock clubs around Copenhagen, and has since developed his artistic expression through numerous projects surrounding collective creation.

„The Party“ is the fourth single from Albert Hertz, who only began releasing under his given name back in February. His three previous singles have received support from countless media platforms from all over the world, praising his uncompromising artistic integrity and profound songwriting.

An idea of what the future could hold, embodied in a stranger. How long have you been numb? How long will this moment last? ‘The Party’ explores bright awakenings and nostalgia for the ray of light that just might make you go blind. It’s the sound of dancing on the border of obsession. A slightly deranged voice lurks behind your own, screaming the words you’re singing. Wojak knows something you don’t.

Albert Hertz has previously been a part of projects such as the the critically acclaimed solo project Aperly High (2021–2024), with which he released the album Cat’s-paw (2023) and the EP Mr. Misery (2024); the collective art project Wheelie Xtender Group (2020–2023), featuring artists such as ML Buch, Smerz, Clarissa Connelly, Molina, Tettix Hexer, among others; and through cross-aesthetic collaborations with multimedia artists like Thjerza Balaj and Kåre Frang. He has also been a driving force in bands such as SENSO (2021–2024), which, according to the biggest Danish newspaper Politiken, made one of the best songs of the year in 2022, and Josiah Konder (2017–2020).

He has performed on stages such as SPOT, Roskilde Festival, and MWM Berlin, toured Europe and Japan, been on heavy rotation on the biggest alternative radio station of Denmark, and garnered support from numerous national and international media outlets.
